2026 DMLWC: 1

Thank you to everyone who attended the First Local Wellness Coalition meeting of 2026! You can watch the full meeting recording below. At this meeting, we reviewed the coalition’s mission and discussed a renewed focus on reducing stigma around mental health and addiction through community awareness initiatives. The group emphasized the importance of inclusive outreach across all age groups, highlighted key local issues, and set measurable goals and objectives for 2026:
1. Reduce stigma around mental health and addiction
  • Post 2 billboards
  • Host outreach at at least 1 community event (e.g., CRHS sports game)
  • Complete a community needs survey
2. Provide advocacy for DMYFS programming and events
DMLWC is a coalition supported by Durham Middlefield Youth and Family Services.
