OUR HISTORY
In the early 1990's, a core group of Durham and Middlefield citizens, who were concerned about the young people of the two communities, recognized the need for the youth of the two towns to have somewhere they could call "a place of their own."
After three (3) long years of planning, Durham Middlefield Youth & Family Services opened in June, 1996 at its current site, Middlefield Community Center, 405 Main Street, Middlefield Connecticut.

A volunteer Board of Directors, comprised of concerned citizens, professionals, town officials, law enforcement, and high school students governs DMYFS.
The Board has grown and continues to grow with caring, smart, involved individuals who want to see the center grow to meet the community's needs.
