Claudia White, M.ED

Executive Director

Claudia White is excited to move forward in her new role as Executive Director. She spent 20+ years in the community raising a family and participating in community activities. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Art in Education from Tusculum University. Since 1988, Claudia has worked with young people and families in a variety of capacities. These roles include community educator, child advocate, high school principal, and the DMYFS Juvenile Review Board Case Manager. In addition, she brings decades of small business managerial experience. Claudia believes that our community’s resiliency is built with strong connections. Her door is open, and she wants to hear your voice.

​​Jade Adalbert, MS, LPCA

​Director of Prevention programs

Jade Adalbert is a licensed professional counselor associate (LPCA) with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Johns Hopkins University. With a strong background in mental health therapy and addiction prevention, Jade leads the DMYFS prevention initiatives, focusing on promoting mental wellness, healthy decision making, and supporting youth and families in the community. She brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles in counseling, research, and program development, with a commitment to fostering resilience, inclusivity, and well-being for all. Jade is passionate about making a meaningful impact through education, outreach, and collaborative community efforts.

Sarah Locascio, BA

Youth Diversion Case Manager

Sarah Locascio was born and raised in Durham and is an alumni of Coginchaug Regional High School. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a focus on childhood & adolescent development at Suffolk University in Boston, MA, and is currently pursuing her MFT Masters Degree at Southern Connecticut State University. Sarah feels strongly about fostering an environment at DMYFS that promotes equity and inclusion for all adolescents, teens and families, especially those that are marginalized & vulnerable to risk factors. She has a passion for youth mental health advocacy, and wants to promote restorative justice through a trauma-informed lens. As the YDP case manager for DMYFS, Sarah plans to prioritize connecting teens and families to community resources that promote resilience, connection and meaningful restoration.

Your leadership and expertise will help shape the programs and services we offer, ensuring that we continue to meet the evolving needs of our community.
